Architectural description of the Church of Santa Maria Mater Domini

The Istrian stone fa�ade shows the traces of a craftsman aware of Tuscan architectural typologies and makes the name of Jacopo Sansovino plausible, which would have intervened to complete the church's factory (1540).

The interior has a Greek cross and altars rich in works of the Venetian Renaissance: The Last Supper, a work by Bonifacio Pitati, The Invention of the Cross by Jacopo Tintoretto.

Instead, the drawing for the tapestry of the Madonna with the Putto is by Tiepolo.
