An exhibition opens on the Island of San Giorgio on the occasion of the seventh edition of The Venice Glass Week, the Glass Study Center of the Giorgio Cini Foundation presents the exhibition Manifesto by Sabbia by the Argentine artist Marcela Cernadas, winner of the tenth edition of the Glass in Venice Award (2022).

 Bohemian glass: the great masters - Stanze del Vetro, Isola di San Giorgio, 8 - Venice
Exhibition running from 14 May to 26 November 2023
An exhibition dedicated to Bohemian glass after the Second World War opens on the Island of San Giorgio. It will present the works of six great masters of contemporary glass sculpture: VáclavCigler, VladimírKopecký, Stanislav Libenský and JaroslavaBrychtová, René Roubíček and MilušeRoubíčková. The exhibition will close with twenty photographs by Josef Sudek from the Glass Labyrinths series.

Auf der Insel San Giorgio wird eine Ausstellung eröffnet, die der Tätigkeit der Glashütte Venini im Bereich Beleuchtung gewidmet ist. Der berühmte „Velario“, der für das Dach des Palazzo Grassi geschaffen wurde, wird neu arrangiert und als Hommage an Carlo Scarpa wird der große Polyeder-Kronleuchter, den der Architekt für „Italia 61“ entworfen hat, wieder aufgebaut.

For the first time, a selection of glass works by American artists and designers will be exhibited in Venice with the aim of closely examining the influence of aesthetics and traditional Venetian glass processing techniques in the American Glass Studio from the 1960s to today.

Running exhibition from September 9th 2019 to January 5th 2020
From September the Stanze del Vetro will exhibit the glass art of Thomas Stearns at San Giorgio. The American artist attended the Venini glassworks in the early 1960s and, after an initial period in which he approached the Murano techniques, he began to create some works with an extremely original and unusual character for local production.

Running exhibition from 25th March to 28th July 2019
For the first time at an international level, the work of a great glass craftsman still little known in the world artistic scene is presented to the general public; over 200 works and numerous preparatory drawings will be on display at the Stanze del Vetro on the Island of San Giorgio (Cini Foundation) highlighting the incredible originality of the French glassmaker.
Will be exhibited works of the entire career of Marinot: from the first realizations to enamel to the blown glass and modeled in person with extraordinary skill and inexhaustible inventive capacity.
