Running exhibition from May 11th to November 24th 2019

At Palazzo Fortuny, an exhibition, opened in conjunction with the 58th Biennale Arte, dedicates an exhibition space for the first time to both Mariano Fortuny, a multifaceted Spanish artist naturalized in Venice, and to his father Mariano Fortuny y Marsal, one of the greatest painters of the 19th century Spanish. The Biennale was one of the stages of Mariano Fortuny while he was alive and, shortly after his death, he dedicated a room to the two Fortunys in the Spanish Pavilion.

Hours: 10 am to 6 pm (the ticket office closes one hour before). Closed on Tuesday.
Tickets: full € 10, reduced € 8, reduced schools € 5. There are free tickets for children from 0 to 5 years; handicapped persons with caregiver; authorized guides of the Province of Venice; tourist interpreters who accompany groups; teachers accompanying school groups up to a maximum of 2 per group; carers (max. 1) of groups of adults; ordinary MUVE partners; holders of The Cultivist Card.

Running exhibition from December 19 2018 to March 24 2019

At Palazzo Fortuny until March 2019 an exhibition explores the importance of the concept of "ruin" in Western culture; ruin as an aesthetic element that has always characterized our relationship with the past, often triggering a feeling of nostalgia, but also triggering an immediate ethical and moral confrontation with our ancestors.

Hours: from 10.00 to 18.00 (the ticket office closes one hour earlier). Closed on Tuesday.
Tickets: full € 10, reduced € 8, reduced € 5 schools.
