History of the Church of San Canciano of Venice
Church of ancient foundation dedicated to the three holy martyrs Canziano, Canzio and Canzinilla, three Roman brothers who died in 304.
Over the centuries it underwent many renovations, the last one – of which the most important traces remain – dates back to the 18th century, but the interior still retains a structure that reflects the solutions of the Tuscan Renaissance.
The church conserved interesting paintings from the end of the 16th to the 17th century and entering on the right you can see the inscription dedicated to the Venetian painter Tiberio Tinelli, who died in 1638 and recently revalued by the studies of Francesca Bottacin.
